Tinsel List is a Christmas planner you keep all year. Save present ideas the moment they come up - a photo in a shop, a typed note, a screenshot shared in from another app - filed under the person who wants them. When you are ready to buy, promote an idea with one tap and track it through ordered, arrived and wrapped, with a budget for every person.

Does Tinsel List need an internet connection?

No. Everything works offline and everything stays on your device. The only time the app opens the network is when you tap a shopping link you added yourself, which opens in your browser.

How do I save an idea from another app?

Use the share sheet. In any app showing a picture - a shop's app, your browser, your photos - tap Share and choose Tinsel List. The image lands in your wishlist inbox, ready to file under a person.

What is the Christmas card list?

A list of everyone you send cards to, with their addresses. It comes back every year: the names and addresses stay, the ticks reset. You can add people from your contacts with Apple's picker, which shares only the entries you choose.

How does App Lock work?

Turn it on in Settings and the app asks for Face ID (or your passcode) whenever it opens, so presents stay secret on a shared or borrowed phone. Photos shared into the app while it is locked wait in the inbox until you unlock.

How do backups work?

Settings offers an encrypted export protected by a passphrase you choose, plus a recovery code shown once when you create it. Keep both safe: without them the backup cannot be opened, by you or by anyone else, and we cannot recover it for you.

What happens after Christmas?

Start next year's plan and Tinsel List carries your people, your card list, and any unbought wishlist ideas forward. Past years stay available to look back on.
